The late Victorians and Edwardians had a vision to improve the quality of life for ordinary people, and so created elaborate and grand public spaces, including libraries, parks and of course public baths.

“The Baths is an incredibly beautiful building… that really does suit its community despite being built with nineteenth century ideas. It has adapted to that community very well, in a place where the community is mixed and mixes well, serving the people of Kings Heath, Moseley, Balsall Heath and well beyond. The staff, from the manager down, are long-term and very committed to the Baths.” Selina Stewart
